Privacy Policy โ TapThatStream: Media & Visuals
Effective date: 20 October 2026
TapThatStream: Media & Visuals (TTStream) is provided by Ashley Drury, trading as Auto Culture Society. For privacy questions, email contact@autoculturesociety.com.
Your media and library
TTStream is a personal audio and video player. It does not require a TTStream account. Imported files, artwork, library details, playlists, favourites, playback history, saved positions and app preferences are kept on your device. On Mac, you may link a folder instead of importing its contents. TTStream saves permission to access that folder and a local library index; the original files remain in their original location.
TTStream does not upload your personal library to a server operated by Auto Culture Society. The app does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
Sharing and Wi-Fi transfer
Stream lets you connect TTStream devices on the same local network. When you enable sharing, TTStream advertises the device name you choose and provides paired devices with the selected audio/video catalogue, artwork, metadata and media files needed for playback or caching. Wi-Fi transfer lets you send files from your browser to TTStream on the receiving device.
These transfers go directly between devices. They do not pass through an Auto Culture Society server. Local sharing uses HTTP and a pairing credential, so use a trusted private network. A person who has your pairing code or QR link can access that sharing session. Stop sharing to end the session. Remembered library details are stored locally; the reconnect credential is stored in the device Keychain. You can disconnect or forget a remembered library in Stream.
Apple Music and purchases
Apple Music access is optional and starts only when you choose to connect and grant permission. TTStream uses MusicKit to read your library, display songs, albums, playlists and artwork, search the catalogue and control playback through your Apple Music subscription. MusicKit manages authorisation with Apple. TTStream does not receive your Apple Account password. Apple Music files are not imported into TTStream or shared through its local-network server.
Apple processes the free trial and one-time app purchase. TTStream reads verified App Store transaction information on your device to provide, restore or revoke access. Auto Culture Society does not receive your payment-card details. Apple Music and App Store services are governed by Apple's privacy policy and terms.
Podcasts and direct stream links
When you add a podcast feed or playable media URL, TTStream contacts the provider you selected to retrieve the feed, artwork or media. That provider receives the network request, including your IP address, and applies its own privacy policy. Saved feed addresses, media links and playback positions are stored on your device. Internet media links use HTTPS; HTTP is supported for local-network addresses.
Permissions and spatial features
TTStream requests access when a feature needs it: media-library permission for Apple Music, selected files or folders for importing/linking, local-network permission for discovery and transfer, and camera permission for scanning pairing QR codes on supported devices. Microphone visuals, where available, analyse live sound on the device; this feature does not upload or save a microphone recording. Artwork selected through the system photo picker is stored with your local library.
On Vision Pro, spatial scenes display media and audio-reactive forms using Apple's system frameworks. TTStream does not transmit a scan of your room, hand tracking or head movement to Auto Culture Society. You can leave an immersive scene using the app or the system controls. Permissions can be changed in your device settings.
Storage, removal and backups
You control the media and library information stored by TTStream. Remove library entries, cached media, saved feeds or remembered connections in the app. Removing a linked folder from TTStream does not delete its original files. Uninstalling the app removes its app-container data subject to the platform's storage and backup behaviour; Apple retains App Store purchase records separately. Apple TV and Vision Pro can clear cached media, so keep your original files.
Device backups, Files providers and iCloud Drive are controlled by the services and settings you choose. TTStream does not operate a cloud-library synchronisation service.
Contact and your rights
If you email us, we receive the information you send and use it to answer your enquiry and maintain the related support correspondence.
